President’s Report May, 2016

All is quiet at the field and I have a couple of housekeeping items to report.

We (The Board of Directors) have attached two new signs to the runway fence:

  •  Field location for emergency services
  • Flying hours
  • And the grass runway has been filled/graded to a smooth surface.

The field is in great shape.

Fly safe,
Larry

President’s Report, June 2015

All is quiet at the field.

We have had one noise complaint which prompted us to use the db meter again. Most checked OK but  a couple were marginal and adjustments were made. (my Edge540 was 2 db high and I have plugged the exhaust and gone to a larger prop to bring it down). Again beware of the noise as there must be a “zero” tolerance.

Treasurer, Don Brodasky, has moved and can no longer manage our accounts. He did an “outstanding” job and we thank him for that.

My Son Larry (not junior) has agreed to fill that position. He will be paying our bills and preparing the monthly report for posting on “TCRCAM”.

You will notice that our money is going to be very tight but the field is in good shape and except for a new canopy, plus normal expenses, I think we will be OK.

So, fly-safe, watch the noise, and enjoy one of the best fields in Florida!

Regards, Larry

President’s Report, February 23, 2015

We are pretty much all set for the new year. Insurance sent to the owner, AMA Charter renewed, field in great shape, etc.

We have a problem which I bring to your attention.

Several individuals are flying who are not members. We now have at least four “freeloaders” who will not pay their dues. Trust me, I know who they are, but they fly at odd times when Board members and myself are not at the field. So we must all help solve the problem.

I am going to post a membership roster at the field. A roster is also included as an attachment to an email that I sent to the members.

Any person, excluding bona-fide guest, who does not have a current membership card should be told to leave.

Don’t believe it when they say “Larry said I could fly”. If that is true then I will be with them!

I don’t want to make a “federal case” out of this but I do think it must stop!

Any questions please feel free to call me.

Best,

Larry

President’s Message, December 2014

All is quiet at the field. Our money held out, we have about $300 left in the bank after paying December bills. We also gave Mike, the farm manager, $50 for Thanksgiving and will give him $100 for Xmas.
He asks for nothing but we do this every year. Speaking of Mike, as you know the farm was sold. There is a new person in charge overall but luckily we still deal with Mike on a daily basis. Jacque has a great working relationship with Mike.

There will be a membership meeting Saturday, December 13, @0900. Coffee at 0800. The floor will be open for officer nomination. If none are received your current officers have agreed to serve again. I won’t go into detail but let me tell you, Jacque and Don put in a lot of time taking care of club business. They really make my job easy!

To date I have received only thirteen membership renewals.

Again, if all of your information remains unchanged then simply send me a copy of your 2015 AMA and a check for $75.00 made out to “TCRCAM”. Please make an effort to get this in right away. It really helps me get the cards done – which will be mailed about Dec 1.

So, come fly and have a great “Holiday”.
